Description

I used a medium extension tube and a Canon 35-105 zoom lens to capture the image of this interesting and unusual plant , in order to fill the frame with its incredible RED color.

Great Color and composition! It was impressive in the thumbnail, but when I opened it up it was amazing. Down to the sheen of the petals. #5671

Thanks so much for your comments! I also shot it in full form (globe, like an artichoke), but this "half version" came out much better composition-wise - and closer, of course. I appreciate your feedback! #8196
