I love interesting and harsh light like this! Gives you the out of the norm portrait. Very well done! I love how she fades into complete blackness. #84772

Nice shot Alex. Can I ask how you set this up. I am looking to do the similar shot soon. Did you use natural light? What is the black in the background? Did you do any work in Photoshop or other program?

I used natural sunlight from a single glass door in a dark hallway.
The black background was not totally black, so I cloned a few light areas away in PhotoShop, and raised the contrast quite a bit.
Apart from that there is no manipulating.
