John, I love the colors that you captured here so clearly, nice composition and DOF, too! #310221

Many thanks Joyce and Carol, for your comments. It was a difficult photo to do justice to, the terrain was rugged and I was trying to give the impression of a mass of flowering native plants, yet still maintain detail in the main subject. #311081

Congratulations, John, on your finalist! Good to know something good has sprung forth from those awful fires... #333542

Thank you for your comments, Jean and Carol. I will try and send you an image of what that beautiful flower loos like in seed at the end of the season. #342627

Beautiful flowers John ~ it's amazing how nature can manage to pull something beautiful from devastation, isn't it?

Thank you for commenting Susan. Last summer there wasn't a single bloom in this area, nature is waiting for the next fire to start the process of regeneration all over again. #1334760

Love the color and detail of this image John, but especially the way you have repeated the color to give the image depth. Your hiding these excellent images way in the back is yielding great returns for me. #7026478

Thanks a lot Dave, this one certainly goes back a few years! #7030447
