BUCKINGHAM FOUNTAIN, CHICAGO.
The fountain, in motion for one hour nightly, changes colors and sprays upward of 110 feet or more. It is surrounded by beautiful bronze sculptures and is distinguished by an innovative use of technology which creates a dynamic light and water display. A favorite spot for Chicagoians nightly.

You have a dramatic image here, John, and you caught the water at just the right speed.

If you can, you might want to work this same composition again earlier in the evening to see what happens to the lights in the buildings behind. They may add to the composition or, on the other hand, take away from it.

(Earlier because the best time for "night" photography is about 20 minutes before sunset -- dark enough to register in the camera as night, but light enough so the highlights don't blow out. Have a look at this image to see what I mean. It would have been impossible 10 minutes later.) #2920701
