Sylvia Rossler June 07, 2006

Noel, I think I have reached my limit in understanding english because I don't understand the meaning of your words :O) I didn't picture a cat here ?!? #2862595

Noel Baebler June 07, 2006

Hi Sylvia,

"cool cat" is an American slang term for a person considered suave and sophisticated; up-to-date and in fashion; stylish, excellent; or rad (radical). It has it's origins in the 1920s and has adapted to changing times.

I used it because the insect appeared to be wearing sunglasses, like a "cool cat" jazz musician or jazz devotee of the 1950s.

Loll...I thought it was something like that but I'm really newbie in slang expressions :O)
Thanks for the explanation Noel :O) #2863800
