Blue Disco

Uploaded: April 28, 2006

Description

f/7.1, .77 seconds, ISO64, Tungsten, +1.0ev
A small silver "Pomegranate" vase, with hammered surface.
I've always liked how it throws so many little bits of reflected light.
Shot against white paper background and surface, then applied BW Gradient Map
and colorized to blue, adjusted Levels.

Thanks, Tamera! I thought it would make a neat BW, but I wasn't happy with the contrast between the sterling and the paper--it was hard to see where one ended and the other began! I think this came out more interesting anyway... reminds me of some kind of big snowglobe, or a planetarium! #2702031
