"Infrared Barn" Description: Taken mid morning near Collierville, Tennessee. The surreal colors in this photograph are the result of special camera settings( especially white balance ) and color channel swapping in Photo shop CS2. I use a Hoya R72 infrared filter in combination with a circular polarizing filter. Most of my infrared photos are shot at f/2.8 to f/8 at 28 mm. I then adjust the shutter for proper exposure, usually around 1 second. White balance is adjusted with each shot with the "PRE" setting with the filters on. More information on this technique can be found here http://www.pbase.com/allonkira/infrared. Bright sunny days work best. A few white puffy clouds would be nice. Uploaded on 4/25/2006 5:07:58 AM
