sun light orchids

Description

Lesson #2, bright light. Shot in RAW, no adjustments made.
The strong afternoon side light was enough for this photo, no fill flash used. I believe it works, because of the angle I used with the camera, and the higher ISO.
shutter 1/200, F/7.1, ISO 250, 60mm lens

Sibylle,
This is so stunning!
How do you get the black background?
Beautiful!

Hi Dana!
Thank you for looking and your kind thoughts!
This black background was done by pure luck! I had these orchids sitting on my table and the late afternoon sun, coming through the window, was so strong. I believe my camera angle was just perfect, so when I took the shot, the background wasn't metered, just the orchids.
I have had black backgrounds before, but I had used a flash.
Black backgrounds make every thing look more dramatic!
Thanks again!
