I like the diagonal effect of the three tiers.

Curious as to the reason you added the grainy effect?

I've been frustrated that as soon as I work my image in photoshop, and even if it is worked as a PSD or TIF, I lose quality and my images look grainy/or noisy. I don't know the reason, but my quality is often worse than the original.

Any explanation will help. #970265

Thanks, Bunny, for your comments. Why the grain? It just felt like a grainy day. I sometimes like the softening effect of the grain. I'm lonesome for grainy film ... wish I could be more precise. Then again, maybe I'm just perverse.

Yes, grain is a problem in digital. My solution is to work the RAW file in Camera Raw, using the noise suppression it offers, then tweak it in Photoshop (Filters/Noise/ReduceNoise), particularly if I want to mask something.

Call again if I can be of assistance! #6250924

Don't know how to use it with masking. I do what I know in ACR and PS, but still have noise. Especially when the light is low as it is with my raccoon images at:

I use the lowest ISO that I can, but capturing images at night does not help with noise, because I'm using a very high ISO. Would appreciate any help you can give.

Thanks.
