Thanks very much, Peter. This was created by choosing a slow shutter speed and moving the camera vertically as I pressed down the shutter button. If you try this, I recommend starting with a shutter speed around 1/2 second and doing a dry run before you actually take the picture. As you do the dry run, make sure no sky ever enters your composition. That will keep big white areas out of the scene. Thanks again! #3498556

Beautiful photo. I love the colors and the effect. One question though, what do you mean by doing a dry run before taking the picture? #3540377

Great question, Odelia. What I mean is that, before I actually take the picture. I frame the scene in my viewfinder, and then move the camera along the path that I intend to move when I take the picture. Then I make a mental note of how far I can go before I start to see sky. In this way, I get a rough idea of where I can swing the camera during the actual exposure. #3543149

I have to say a lot of these I don't like but this is beautiful, and that from "not a fan of blur"..:)

Thanks for the kind comments. It will be nice to see the beautiful colors of the flowers once again and get out there to shoot in the Northwest without the freezing weather! #7135433
