Very nice work, Julia. Equal measures of 40's retro chic and today's approach to photography. #2493350

What a striking portrait! Just beautiful! The composition's great and the conversion to b/w absolutely perfect! Stunning work!! Welcome to the site, by the way. I can't say how it "works" myself. I think you find your own level of involvement and your own schedule over time. I can say, it's a tremendous inspiration on many different levels (so much more than I thought at the start, just over a month ago!) and you "may" just get addicted, sitting up til 2 am. as I am now! It's a wonderful way to stay focused on photography, to learn new methods and to get ideas, and also to meet so many great people via the internet. I used to get up, turn on m laptop and pour through depressing news. Now, I go to Better Photo! Much better way to start the day, for sure. #2494011
