Thank you all so very much for the wonderful comments! This mother robin built her nest on top of a fencepost -out in the open and right next to a walkway at the Ky Horse Park last year. She was a little jumpy the first few days but then she settled right in and didn't fly off whenever anyone walked by. I set up my tripod and just inched closer and closer to get this shot. Of course once the little ones came along she was much more protective and getting this close was not an option! :)
