Description

f/2.8, 1/30s, 8mm, ISO 100. Another shot from the butterfly house, this one with the point and shoot. These butterflies had Irridescent blue wings inside. Butterflies, the way the transform from caterpillars and take flight, are a wonderful symbol of JOY!!!

CONGRATULATIONS to all the finalists and good luck in the next round! Mary :-)

Really is magnificent! Did you do anything in PS to create the kind of ballooning effect on the wings and the slightly simplified effect of the head and body on the leaf? Whatever you did or did not do, it's striking! #2257451

Daniel M. Bendjy January 14, 2006

Those wings are striking Mary. Did you notice that the top of the wing sorta looks like the face of a snake and with the texture it make you wonder if it was volontary? #2286922
