The " Joys " of Winter

Uploaded: December 15, 2005

Description

F5.6 aperture, 1/320 sec shutter, 55mm focal length, Iso 100. A typical scene in Wisconsin around this time... snow removal. I particularly love the frost hanging off my husband's eyebrows! Got around another 5 inches of snow yesterday.

Kaye, that's true, he's probably suffering. But, I'm sure he's a nice guy and wouldn't make his wife do all the hard work. #2188637

OK, I am officially ceasing to whine about the weather in KC :) Your poor husband, it takes a lot of fortitude to even go out in that weather, then removing snow on top of that! WOW! Hope you get to stay in and just keep taking wonderful photos like this one!

Great shot Kaye, and boy is that ever cold when the wind blowes the snow from the blower back in your face. That's how I looked yesterday after I got home from work. I don't think I'm that far south of you. I'm in northern Illinois about 25 miles from the state line. We got to have fun in the snow to. #2190319

What an impressive gallery you have! I love this one it is so clear totally shows the joy of winter! I was raised in Finland so this scenario is more than familiar. And we got plenty of that white staff here in PA too.. Did you just dip out to take a pic and go back inside? (LOL!) #2197653

Brrrrr! Looks cold. What a superb capture - I like the blue colours he is wearing against the very subtle grays and blues in the background. #5301344
