This is lovely Joanna. If this was the one you were referring to, I think it is a little different. My guess would be western pondhawk. A gorgeous dragonfly, nicely captured. #11620854

Kathy, I looked at several Western Pondhawk images, and the coloration on the immature stage seemed to match my image. Here in Michigan, I suppose I saw an Eastern Pondhawk. ;o) #11620859
