Description

Seeds and seeds-to-be.

Pictured in a cordial glass, Lupine seeds, harvested from my garden last summer. I plucked these while they were still in their pods and left them in my office/studio in a small bowl, not quite sure how to handle them. One hot day, I came into the room to find the seeds strewn over the desk and floor, the formerly pea-like pods having twisted and burst open in the heat. So now I know how these propagate in the wild.

Nestled into the seeds is a dried Osteospermum flower. Behind the glass is a live plant, Peter's Gold Carpet, a prolific self-sower.
