Description

These 2 Hoverflies were taking a break from pollenating. I was using my KX-800 twin flash, camera set to manual, using my Canon 100 mm L macro lens. Settings were f16, 1/250, ISO 200.

What a moment!!! These two need to get a room!! I have never seen flies like this. <>< #1680313

Shirley D. Freeman February 24, 2017

LOL! Thank you, Nancy. These flies are easy to miss seeing, as they are probably less than a 1/4 inch in length. So it wasn't an easy shot to take. Flash and auto focus saved the day. <>< #11565065

OK, as far as I know I have never seen these. It is so beautiful with the colors and I love that two color face. That is some awesome camera work to get the details so fine. Love the depth, the focus, colors, lighting. Everything so perfect in all ways. #11574048

Thank you, Leslie and Frank. It would be easy to miss these little guys even if they are in your area. They are very tiny. I was out trying to photograph bees and saw them. That twin flash really made the shot possible. <>< #11574079
