Beautiful Weed Flower

This little flower is about the size of my fingernail (which are small). I held this tiny weed up, using the sky for the background. I have been experimenting with a 17-40 mm lens and a 13 mm extension tube.

This is absolutely GORGEOUS Shirley, bet we see this again!! <>< #11561224Shirley D. Freeman February 08, 2017
Thank you, Chuck and Nancy. You are so right, Chuck, His handiwork is all around us to be seen. That is one of the reasons I love photography, especially macro, because there we can see detail of things we would ordinarily miss. <>< #11561225John Koepfer @PresentPleasures February 08, 2017

Wonderful composition, Shirley! Looks like a violet. I love it when they crop up in the lawn in the spring. #11561374Shirley D. Freeman February 09, 2017
Thank you, Martha. I just thought it was a weed, as it grows wild. Very tiny. The blossom is about 3/8 of an inch across. <>< #11561375Bojan Bencic February 09, 2017

Gorgeous macro Shirley. I almost always use my extension tubes doing macro. #11562472Shirley D. Freeman February 13, 2017
Thank you, Emile. I use them occasionally (I have a macro lens though), but had never tried using them on a wide angle lens before. I liked the results. <>< #11562489Carolyn M. Fletcher February 21, 2017
