Tiny Bishop

Uploaded: November 18, 2016 | Entered: November 18, 2016 03:59:24

Description

From an elaborate cope clasp of golden gothic-style fretwork and semi-precious stones; the central blue-enameled portion contains a small silver sculpture of a bishop. A gift to Washington National Cathedral many years ago, it and many other gifts received over the years, form an interesting and diverse collection of liturgical and secular items of artistic or historical noteworthiness, which may one day be displayed in a future "Treasures Museum".
