RED TAIL HAWK 3

Uploaded: September 30, 2016 | Entered: September 30, 2016 12:59:08

Description

Captured 9/28/16. Although commonly seen soaring they are primarily perch-hunters. Most prey is taken back to a feeding perch where it is beheaded before it is consumed. They usually pluck the feathers of birds before consumption. Small mammals are swallowed whole.
