Description

It was a great pleasure to have met fellow BPer Chris Budny during my visit to Washington. Here you can see our shadows on the pavement right in front of Union Station. I have always been inspired by Chris's photographic skills but found him as a very inviting and pleasant personality who is passionate about Washington DC and specially so about the National Cathedral, where he has been volunteering every Saturday for the last two decades or so. Thank you Chris for taking me around to so many places and persevering with the heat and sweat during the 7 hours or so.
This image is dedicated to Chris Budny.

My goodness, you are tall, Usman! (I'm guessing that's you on the right? and I know Chris is tall). What a great frame for this shadow portrait you see - love the lines, colors and textures of the brickwork and especially your lens of choice. What a great time it sounds as if you had. #11498657

It was great meeting you too, Usman! You're the 2nd-most-distant BP member I've met now, after Renee Doyle from Australia. Glad we had more than a couple hours to run around -- just wish it had been 20 degrees cooler ;) Looking forward to your fisheye images... #11498796
