Description

On a special vacation to see the tidal change in the Bay of Fundy, we were able to spend two nights outside of Halifax. Because of this good fortune, we were able to avoid the crowds who poured off the several cruise ships docked in the harbor. That is, most of the daily tours are done by 3:00 PM and the lighthouse can be enjoyed "privately."

I was able to shoot early in the morning and late in the afternoon, thereby taking full advantage of the light.

Since I was using my EOS-3 film camera, there is no exposure data recorded. I standardized on Fuji Sensia Slide Film, ISO 400. I was using the first generation Tamron 28-200 mm zoom, the best of the four iterations of this lens. And I still use it today since my DSLRs accept its mount and the 1.6 Canon crop factor means I have a maximum zoom capability of 320 mm. I scanned the slide and edited image file with Photoshop 7.
