Hi Shirley, and thank you for stopping-by and leaving me your comment! When the avocets first arrive at the lake I used to go shoot them at, they were very spooked when anyone came very close. But as time wore-on, they would get used to people---especially photographers---and would feel more relaxed and safe. #11470820
