Samatran Tiger.

Panthera tigris sumatrae.
Probably the worlds rarest tiger, and I met this one at the Taronga Western Plains Zoo at Dobbo.
I find I am never too old to stop learning, because I didn’t know that every tiger has different markings, even the stripes on one side of its body are different to those on the other side.
It is claimed there are less than 400 of these beautiful animals left in the wild, and the Zoo is part of the Australasian and European management program.
