This is Mom; 2009 and 1943. In the 2009 shot Mom's wearing her favorite sweatshirt, Harley-Davidson. I'd taken her for the last time to her favorite restaurant, Alice's Restaurant located in the Santa Cruz Mountains, and a favorite place for motorcycle riders.
In 1943 she met and married (6 weeks later) my dad and was one of the thousands of women working during WWII in defense plants and referred to as "Rosie the Riveter". Mom built the P-38 Lightning fighter plane and the PBY (Flying Boat)... and she rode a Harley-Davidson Motorcycle to work.
Mom passed away a few months after the 2009 shot.
