This great horned owl photo was taken on top of a roof in the suburbs of Colorado. This owl family landed on the roof every evening around dusk, according to the owner. My friend and I went there to check it out and sure enough there was a male and female owl sitting near the edge of the roof. The owl in the photo only had one eye and had something furry that it was eating. You can see it near her right wing in the photo. I added a texture to the background.
