Warped Windows

Dragsholm Castle in Denmark, originally built in 1215 A.D., has been many people's Home, Castle and prison over time. It has been added on to, bombed and blown up and rebuilt again. Bishops and Kings, Queens and Earls, The Rich and the Poor, the Criminals and the Crusaders. They have all lived here over time. And they all have their story to tell. Dragsholm Castle is ridden with ghosts and as we spent two days and one night in this very haunted castle we could feel it at every turn. That we were not alone. What we thought we heard or saw might not have been as it seemed. All the way down to the illusions of very warped windows through the hand blown glass. Maybe you can see them, too? From the outdoors, away from these walls, those windows looked fine and not warped...

Hi Gord, Jeff, SSSKiki and Jo Ann! There is nothing like being able to raise the hairs on my buddies necks first thing in the morning. Happy to have given you a chill or thrill which is how this castle had me feeling the entire stay! Had I been thinking I'd have brought an EMF reader to watch the arm on it going crazy! (EMF reader = Electro Magnetic Field reader that measures electrical activity in a room or place). All the ghost hunters have them. :)) Thank you everyone for your visit and comments!! :D How fun! #11330773Laura E. Swan July 13, 2015

Thanks Michelle and Brother John! Tihs Castle was so charming and wonderful and welcoming. Even with the Ghosts! I only felt one or two spots that felt evil...but that being said I never visited the dungeon. I imagine that is where the spooky ones loom! :))) This place was living history. In every way! #11333168Mary K. Robison July 23, 2015
Pom, you WERE brave to stay overnight in a place with such haunting history...and with those warped windows! I think those pretty flowers add something special to the shot. Great photo, and great history lesson, too. #11335469Chris Ebben December 13, 2015
I think we are all lucky know you who can tell us all about this very interesting haunted castle without having to go ourselves. Many thanks for the history lesson & picture=^..^= #11411847Laura E. Swan December 13, 2015
The most wonderful part to me, ladies, was that this is part of our very own Kiki and Leif Kjaer's Danish history and also mine because of my relative, Mary Queen of Scots. We share this MOST awesome place in such a timeless way. I am very glad I spent two days and one haunted night there so you wouldn't have to. HeeHee...And I'd do it again and again. Just for you guys. Okay and for me, too!! :D I loved it there. It was creepy and exciting all at once. I felt very at home but was well aware that I was just a welcomed visitor. Maybe after a few nights the ghosts would have kicked us out in their own special ways?! :D THANKS for the visits!! #11411849Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
