Snow gums at Falls Creek

Uploaded: December 04, 2014 | Entered: December 04, 2014 04:37:36

Description

The Australian gum tree is the only genus of tree that survives snow, heat and coastal conditions. These particular gums die off under the snow, and then reshoot during spring. Hundreds of acres of tree skeletons stand against the landscape, on the alps for months at a time.
This is a resubmit from a week ago.
