Description

Little Pied Cormorant
(Phalacrocrax melanoleucos)
This delightful water bird can be found in most of Australia, except in the desert regions of Western Australia! I think he is waiting for breakfast to swim past. I have a feeling this one is a juvenile or immature bird.
Captured around 7.30 A.M. on one of my sunrise walks.
Reference: Simpson & Day Field Guide to the Birds of Australia.
