I've seen this pier and the Huntington Beach Pier many times on BP and loved them. I can't believe I finally got to take my very own shots of it. I Love This Beach!
This is what the European Man was taking so many photos of when I was waiting my turn. The image is in my gallery right now. The title of that image "Elements". I took several photos and have my top two. This was one because of the setting I used that made the flow of the water softer than real life.

I Think This Pier Could Be The Most Photographed Place TakingLaura E. Swan October 22, 2014
Does it spook you, Wm? Try going there at night. We were there after sundown and the mood definitely changed! Boo! #11165353Michelle Alton October 22, 2014 1

Awesome! #11165525Mary K. Robison October 22, 2014
Pom, you've been hiding a very talented part of yourself, and this photo shows it: the silky waves are rolling forward between what look like diamond-studded columns, and --- in Black and White!! What a concept! I will never look at Huntington Beach's Pier (though this is probably Oceanside) the same way again... Fave! #11165745Mary K. Robison October 22, 2014
Gee...you've titled this "Oceanside Pier"...Now I feel like you felt about the female lion having a mane... :/ #11165748Kirsten Kiki Kjaer October 23, 2014
No less than brilliant, SSSLala!Douglas Pignet October 23, 2014

Thank you Michelle, Colette, Monnie, Mare, SSSKiki, Doug, and Ellen!! I took a bunch showing the entire depth, too. It was hard to decide which one to enter.Mare, don't worry at all. My mistake was WAY worse than yours. Just ask the LION! HeeHee. All of you would love it there! Just ask Doug! :))) I appreciate all you have said, each of you! -Laura :) #11166099

Wonderful depth and composition Sister Swanee! We have a small pier 15 minutes from my home, I should visit it more often! #11166182Emile Abbott October 23, 2014
Excellent sense of depth and veiling of the water, Laura. Glad you were in line for this one. #11166267Stephen Zacker October 24, 2014
