Flowers on a Rainy Day

In the spring of the year 50 acres of Giant Tecolote Ranunculus flowers at The Carlsbad Flower Fields cascade down the hillside in a spectacular display of color that is sure to take your breath away. New and past visitors will be stunned at fields of color overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
Today, the fields are a direct result of over 85 years of floral cultivation that began when Luther Gage, an early settler and grower settled in the area in the early 1920’s.

Gorgeous colors and capture, Julianne! I like how you used the trucks in your composition. You're so lucky to live near the Flower Fields ~ rain or shine, they leave quite an impression. I saw the Fields about 15 years ago ~ what a spectacular display. My favorite was a chocolate-colored ranunculus! #11149697Monnie Ryan October 01, 2014
