Description

The Phantom Ship is the second island at Crater Lake. The island is about 500 feet long and reaches a maximum width of 200 feet near the east end. Its east-west ridge of spires, towering 170 feet above the water, sharply divides most of the island into two slopes, one very steeply sloping to the south and the other less steeply to the north.

Thanks Jo Ann! The island itself is the ship....I would have added another image taken from the rim drive, but I don't know how with the new changes to BP....Sorry!!! From the rim drive around the lake, this does in fact, look like a ship out on the water!!!! Thanks hun for all of your wonderful comments lately!!! #11138432
