Wow, Laurie, this is a fabulous capture! So clear and detailed, and I love that the bird is sitting on the flower. So many hummingbirds are too busy to sit still, lol! Just beautiful. Going into my favorites! :-) #1583526

Thanks Michele..this little guy was not long out of the nest and was being bullied by older juveniles. He was so exhausted he landed on this flower and was trying to hang on for dear life as the others were still trying to dive bomb him. I stayed close and was able to keep the others at a distance for awhile. He kept flitting to other flowers for about an hour or so..and got so tired again that he landed on the bicep of my arm trying to get at the yellow of my camera strap. He then landed on another flower for a bit..the others tried again to dive bomb him so I put my hand over the top of him while he tried to get som nectar. then he flew away and that was the last I saw of him. #11111427
