I would love to get some critique on this one, particularly the crop as I'm not sure if I'm happy with it. TIA, Karen #343657

Hi there Karen,

I feel your cropping highlighted what you wanted to express ... and that is - the animals eye. Great Shot!!!

I like the crop on this very much. It seems to show the very soul of the old creature. You can just imagine the wisdom from the look. #2085095

Thanks Pat and Michael. He is very old, about 37 years I think and just a gorgeous old soul. Thanks for your critiques as I am still trying to figure out composition :) #2085145

I like it as well. I tried to picture it cropped differently and none of it came even close to what you had. #2085284

Thanks Dee! I think I must have done about 15 different crops on it just to see what I liked best and I still wasnt sure about it :) #2085339

I agree with the rest of them. This crop, along with the soft edge and even softer background, really makes for a striking photo. Its like you can see a whole other world in this eye. By the way, what kind of animal is it? Great shot! #2086985

Thanks for your comments Kevin and Allison! I loved his eye as it has so much character but wasnt sure how best to present it. It's a donkey :) #2089342
