I bet this took a while to get, Judy. Your patience paid off. This is wonderful. I don't know whether to cheer it's leaving the nest or worry over it's impending doom. Those wings don't look flightworthy. #1578357

Know what you mean, Kevin. They don't all make it. There are lots of turtles and alligator in some of the ponds. We also have lots of crows but they haven't eaten one so far. I have been spending a lot of time watching for the ducks to fledge. There is no way to know when the eggs are laid. They will incubate for 30 days. It was exciting to photograph this event.
