Brown Pelican

Description

This entire RV experience was to test the Canon Powershot SX50HS as a travel camera before I go to Russia (unless we are at war with them in May). I did not want to pay $12,000 to 15,000 for a long lens. This little camera is light and has a range from 24mm to 1,200mm optical not digital and only cost $400. So far I continue to remain very impressed with its sharpness and detail even at the max 1,200mm handheld. None were taken with tripod or cable release although I had them. I will take it traveling along with my Canon EOS 1D mark IV. Comment always appreciated good or critical.

Exif: F Number: 7.1, Exposure Bias Value: 0.00, ExposureTime: 1/1600 seconds, Flash: did not fire, compulsory flash mode, ISO: 1600, White balance: Auto white balance, FocalLength: 42.70 mm, Model: Canon PowerShot SX50 HS

Emile, the new range of little cameras are such, that we wonder why we need a big one. I too have a new small one, the Sony Nex7. It has all the features of a big one, and like yours, the detail is sharp, and it shoots fast. But, I also recently bought a new big one too, the Sony a99, (their mastership, they claim), and wow, I'm so in love with it. It's mirrorless, and shoots way faster than any other camera I have had. Plus, it accommodates all my lenses, that's the reason I bought it. A new camera adds a whole new dimension to photography, it re-invigorates.
Back to your brown pelican - a brown pelican? He looks too dirty to be a pelican, hehee, most unusual. #11012089

From the pictures you are getting Emile, I would say that camera is one we should all be looking at for a travel companion. I love the looks you are getting with it like with this brown pelican.
