Steens Mt Canyons
Uploaded: February 06, 2014
Steens Mountain is a large fault-block mountain in the southeastern part of the U.S. state of Oregon. Located in Harney County, it stretches some 50 miles (80 km) long north to south, and rises from alongside the Alvord Desert at elevation of about 4,200 feet (1,300 m) to a summit elevation of 9,733 feet (2,967 m). It is sometimes confused with a mountain range, but is properly a single mountain. There are several deep canyons of which this is one of them.

Well, that snow the weatherman said was coming is here. It's snowing 1 to 2 inches an hour with calm winds and temperature of 21°F. We have over 3 inches on the ground now and they say it will continue for another 8 hours. How deep it will get?? Pretty but cold! #1562491Denny E. Barnes February 06, 2014
