Rita, this is so neat. I must admit I've never seen a frozen drop before. Love the ice crystals in it.Only creative suggestion would be to lighten the area above the twig to closer match the lower part. This will make the subject matter more prominent. #1562363

Nice one Rita! We are expecting 2F temp tonight so we might be seeing more than a few of these in the morning. #10967706Beth Spencer February 05, 2014

here is a quick fix to dale suggestion #10968845Teresa H. Hunt February 07, 2014
Well now, that's just cool!!! I love it.It started snowing here. We got dumped on yesterday. And then today it started snowing around noon and hasn't stopped. I had an interesting drive home from work, that I would not like to repeat.
We are supposed to get freezing rain this weekend. If we do, I may brave the cold for some photos. :) #10969641

Definitely "cool" Rita...I would suggest a tighter crop to show off the patterns in the crystals if you have the data to do it and not lose significant resolution.. #10969996Susan Williams February 08, 2014
A great macro shot, Rita. Not easy to get those details in such a tiny bit of ice. Reminds me of a diamond. So pretty. #10970797Beth Spencer February 09, 2014
I like the edit. The white on top draws more attention to the subject! #10970930Elaine Hessler February 09, 2014
Really pretty Rita! I cannot believe Dale hasn't seen a frozen drop before! A true Californian! The pattern in that drop is beautiful and sharp. #10971753

Nice work, Rita. I was out shooting icicles hanging from my back porch this weekend. One was over three feet in length and at it's widest point was 3" across.I love this macro -- it says it all about this particular winter. #10972597
