Indian side of an international border...at an altitude of 15,600 ft. this is the scene during the peak summer. The soldiers on duty here throughout the year, need to spend the extremely harsh winter in this region with the temperature going down 30 to 50 degrees(C)below zero.

WOW. Beautiful view, light and capture. Interesting info. and it amazes me how someone could stand the cold conditions and attitude. I had some attitude symptoms in the Rockies at 14,000 ft. Love this! #10916768JO ANN CLEVELAND December 07, 2013

Excellent in every way. Fantastic work, Ujjwal! #10916926Carol L. Fowler December 07, 2013
What a harsh place to do duty! I can relate to the temperatures as well as the altitude. Although I am only at 4400 feet now, I visited Tibet and we were at that high altitude. It is hard to do any activity in that thin air. #10917050Thomas E. Hinds December 07, 2013
Amazing capture, Ujjwal! Looks cold for summer! Beautiful panorama! That is such a high elevation! #10917072Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
