Me and My Blanket

Uploaded: November 26, 2013

Description

I visited the Santa Barbara Zoo for the first time in about a year due to the constant injuries on Goma. They never responded to my emails about him being bullied.
I did not see any injuries but he is very wary of his brother and leaves the area when he enters. Goma is still my favorite Gorilla in any of the zoos I have visited!!

I can definitely see why he's your favorite Gorilla Kathy, I don't think that I've ever seen a Gorilla with such a deep rich black fur as this one and his face looks as if it was chiseled out of stone. Hope you have a very Happy Thanksgiving. #10907753

It is always such a sad thing that animals have to be mistreated and its sad that they would not respond to your concerns. From his expression, I would say it would not be a good idea to try and take his blanket away. They are beautiful in their ways and facial expressions. I love also how strong they are and yet how gentle they can be. Beautiful work Kathy. #10909158
