Magnificent And Proud

Description

Spent the day in Theodore Roosevelt National Park, South Unit, Medora, North Dakota, as the park service started the wild horse roundup by using helicopters. When the helicopters would fly over the wildlife, they would spook and run. The wild horses were especially riled up as they were the copters main focus. Hence the horses would run all over trying to hide and I saw horses that I haven't seen in a while.
This stallion was with part of his remuda. The rest of his mares and foals were in some trees resting. The stallion got worried about those mares as there were some bachelor stallions in the area, so he took of galloping to find his mares.
