They would HAVE to be teens, Pom, to think splashing around in ice-cold water was fun!(And it had to be chilly ~ mountain water is always ridiculously cold.)
Nonetheless, your title is perfect, since we all see moments of youth through a haze (there's that word again... :) of selective retention.
My brain is now bouncing two songs back and forth: Edith and Archie at the piano, and Marianne Faithful---"We thought they'd never end"...thanks a lot, my friend!!
P.S. Beautiful capture and composition. #1544182

I might brave the cold, but I'd hate to fall down in all those rocks! Ah, to have the bravado of youth. Terrific capture, Laura! #10841265

Good morning Mare, and Monnie :)

Mera, I kid you not, I sing that song all the time! (Those were the days my friend!) And Purple Haze is definitely on my list of FAV's!

When I was young a best friend had an Uncle who had property on a river in California called "The Eel River". Three Cabins. A Girl, Boy and Food cabin. I spent a LOT of time walking across river rocks there, primarily to get to the camp area. Arms loaded with supplies and clothes! It was always a thrill to have your feet slipping around and your shoes hitting slime and algae!

You gals will be happy to know I safely took this image from the bridge above! :D

We had actually stopped to take photos of what I saw on the OTHER side of the bridge! The river/stream ran sharply down hill. It was so pretty!

This was a Jasper Back road. 93A I think?

Good reminder of days gone by, when things were easy & fun & you could understand the songs.... looks very inviting. Another good one=^..^= #10891195

I wish we could ALL tour the ROCKIES together. It's like being in the 50's up here. Wild and free and clean and low crime. I love the National Parks in Canada. :D

Thanks you guys! I think this river was from a glacier but it might be a run off river. #10891198
