Very beautiful, John. Art glass is about the only "knick-knack" type that has any collecting allure for me. To me the glass blower artist is an amazement. How the HECK do they create such things? #10828009

Excellent capture, John...this is beautiful art! Glass blowing is very popular here along the Oregon coast, too. There must be at least 20 shops within a 50 mile span. #10828078

Description

This is a display by one of the districts artistic Glass blowers, and these objects are paper weights. There were some incredible pieces of artwork at unbelievable prices! I suppose the cost of gas for the furnaces has a bearing on the end price of the creation.
No tripods were allowed, so I captured this one hand held, at 1/15th second, f9.0 and ISO-200.

Exif: F Number: 8, Exposure Bias Value: 0.00, ExposureTime: 1/160 seconds, Flash: did not fire., ISO: 200, White balance: Auto white balance, FocalLength: 105.00 mm, Model: NIKON D90
