This is part of an exhibit of restaurant and casino neon signs. It was fun to see them again and lighted. This one was from the old Mapes Hotel. Here it is without the zoom and another from a restaurant. #1522001

I like these. I have a neon sign in my gallery, too. I think they are phun shots to get. I really like the zoom one you did. They all brought a smile to my face! #10637847

Love the neon cowboys zoom! Could sell those like hot cakes during Calgary Stampede! #10637874

Dale Hardin April 01, 2013

Really nice job of capturing these signs Mike. Was surprised, and delighted, to see the zoom. It's not your style and you pulled it off with panache. #10637956

Nicely done, Michael. #10638257

Love the pop from the black, and the zoom motion makes this even more eye catching. #10638522

Yup, great work on all of these, Mike! And, bonus point for getting a head start on Dale's challenge!

It's great to have you back, I'm glad things are calming down a bit. #10638553

Thank you all very much - I was surprised to see such a positive response from everyone on these simple shots. I don't often use zoom or camera movement in my work because the results are frequently a large departure from my style of shooting, but I thought this one worked well and am please you all did too. #10640383

Anthony L. Mancuso April 03, 2013

I agree with the bunch Mike, a well executed departure from your typical style of shooting...very nice. #10640524

Beth Spencer April 03, 2013

I like them all especially the zoom one. Glad to see you posting again! #10640665

I think everything that needs to be said on these has been said Mike! Good stuff. I particularly like the zoom one as it is so different from your usual work. (And as for ol' Dale using the word 'panache' in a sentence; wow! there is hope for the colonies yet.) #10643188

Thanks Tony and Beth glad to be back.

Thank you Peter - I was impressed with the use of panache also. #10643354
