I love the surrealism of Rene Magritte. This image reminds me very much of how Magritte intentionally shows impossible contrasts of dreamlike, ethereal blue skies and perfect white clouds against darkened, foreboding foregrounds. His sardonic interpretations of convetenionally viewed "serious" subject matter taught me a huge amount about interpeting my world and constantly looking again to see beauty in everything. One of my favorite pieces by Magritte is a painting of a tobacco pipe titled "ce n'est pas pipe", which to me, asserts that we should not take his work too seriously; to have fun viewing it. This image is an homage to Rene Magritte.
