I'm back from my leave of absence...hopefully for a long while, though I have an appointment with an orthopedic surgeon for my neck, arms and hands....so we'll see how that goes.Susan M. Reynolds January 26, 2013
The other two didn't load so I'll try again. #10539190Stephen Shoff January 26, 2013
What a great start, Susan. #10539256Susan M. Reynolds January 27, 2013
Here's a kind of "stop-action" photo...caught one that wasn't too blurry of Charlotte swinging KD-bug round and round in the sunshine that day. #10539633Susan M. Reynolds January 27, 2013
Well it didn't upload by putting the photo ID number in so I'll try manually loading from my hard drive. Sorry about that ~ #10539638Susan M. Reynolds January 27, 2013
Crud...BP is acting up again...I'll try one more time.Susan M. Reynolds January 27, 2013
Thanks Stephen, it's good to be back :)Dale Hardin January 27, 2013
This series is wonderful Susan and shows that you are indeed back. My favorites are "Look at me go!" and "Round and round we go!" The last one has some real potential for improvement using post processing.I'd suggest a 4x6 crop above the flare and either a multiply blend or highlights changes in the raw editor, to bring out the color and reduce the highlights glare.
I've taken the liberty to take a screen shot and make some quickie changes to illustrate the idea. Of course, with the original file and more detailed changes you can do better. #10539903

How cute!!! My favorite is the piggy tails. I love the backlighting and the expression on her face in this picture. My other favorite is her on the sidewalk by herself. #10540311Elaine Hessler January 27, 2013

These are great Susan. My favorite is "Bye-Bye Mommy" the sidewalk stretching out behind her helps tell the story :) #10540590Rita K. Connell January 27, 2013

Susan, it is great to have you back with us. She is a beauty and I bet really hard to keep up with. My favorite is piggy tales. I absolutely love the back lighting and her facial expressions.Michael Kelly February 02, 2013
I bet you are having a great time with her. A nice series that I am sure will be treasured. I like Dales example for improvement of the last one. #10551234Debbie E. Payne February 03, 2013
What a cutie! So good to see you are back with us. Will you be able to make it to the Meet-up this year in Utah? I do like the edit that Dale suggested; but although it may be stronger it is missing that important element of motion which is what your original intention was, right? I'd edit to have a version that was like Dale's but I would definitely keep your original crop because it shows exactly what is going on. I rarely ever go against Dale....what will the repercussions be....?#10552644

I go against him all the time!! But he never listens to me. :o) #10552651Debbie E. Payne February 03, 2013
You are too funny, Dale! I knew I'd get a rise out of that! Can hardly wait for when you come to visit. We'll find some good places to go... #10552655Peter W. Marks February 04, 2013
All perfectly delightful Susan. Her character truly shines through.Brandi K. Mills February 04, 2013
I like Nana's girl, but the piggy tails is probably my favorite. I don't care too much for the first one "look at me go" because I can't see her pretty eyes and it's a little dark. #10554229Susan M. Reynolds February 06, 2013
Thank you all for your input...Dale Hardin February 06, 2013
You know Susan, you could apply the exposure changes to the entire image without the crop and it would work just as well. #10557044Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
