Description

Easily the most spectacular (and largest) falls in the Westfjords of Iceland, this was the first "destination falls" we visited on the trip. The falls
tumble some 300 feet in all, forming a collection of 7 distinct waterfalls, all very different from each other. The uppermost falls however,
steal the show, spilling over the ridge and then doubling in width before reaching the first lagoon.
The falls are at the innermost end of a long fjord, and once you pry your eyes off the falls and turn around, the view is equally stunning.

Thank you all very much! Dynjandi was a marvel, once we got there late in the day. Stayed for a few hours until after sunset. Drank the water right from the lagoon... had a great time, but it made for a terrifying 2 hour drive back to the houtel in extreme darkness, on pretty bad mountain roads! #10508120

WOW .... incredible falls!! Beautiful veiling of the water! And glad you made it back safe :-)

Thanks, Renee! Worth the insanely long (and at night, frightening) drive! Would love to have had 4-6 hours there, however, instead of just 2. #10514915
