Daybreak

Description

The magic of daybreak happens with or without us. The mornings that I wake up before sunrise are always beautiful. I love to watch the sun peek over the mountains and everything takes on new life and color. In this image the sun is starting to burn through the fog, creating a golden glow. What was concealed before is now slowly being revealed. Buffalo from a local ranch are standing still in the mist, they seem like ghosts and so are unperturbed by the advent of the morning light. The only other activity happening is the start of bird flight. Sunrise brings the need for breakfast, it's possible that the buffalo have provided some sustenance with what they have left behind, after grazing. Original background image of sunrise and fog was taken in my back yard in Shady Cove, Oregon. The Buffalo were added as composite layers. The birds were added with a bird brush by Distressed Textures. Other textures by Shadowhouse Creations.
