Description

---
The Stover-Myers Mill, a watermill on the Tohickon Creek in Bedminster Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania,is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
----
The mill was built around 1800 and operated continuously until 1955. Built by Jacob Stover,it used a millstone to grind flour and feed for livestock using power from a waterwheel. The mill was also equipped with an up-and-down saw and operated as a lumber mill. Christian Myers augmented the mill in 1885. with a steam engine. Milling of flour ceased in 1920, primarily due to competition from Mid-Western states, and the mill closed in 1955.
---
The property was purchased by Bucks County in 1967 and the mill currently resides in a 26-acre park and is open to the public.
----
On the lawn can be seen rusting old turbines that were once used to run the mill. Fundraising is underway to restore Stover-Myers Mill.

Nice to see they are fundraising to save this mill. In our city, anything historic is pretty much coming down due to earthquake risk, upsetting many many people. We won't have anything historic left soon. This is a beautiful image Michelle. #10425804
