Awakening
Description: Early Winter in Oregon's Three Sisters Wilderness. I liked the subtle, peaceful mood and how the composition of the sweeping shoreline leads around towards the reflected peak. The hike in was a rainstorm, then a blizzard which put down 4 inches in an hour, followed by a freezing rainstorm. It was intresting to say the least. I set up camp in the fury of the storm near treeline at this remote alpine lake, about ten miles in. Fortuantely, the stormy conditions subsided by the next morning and things were as calm and placid as it gets. I was lucky to get a bit of glowing color behind the peak at dawn. I shot a couple rolls then climbed the north face of the peak and hiked out later that day.
